Can tornadoes form in Antarctica?

Yes, but they haven't yet been observed. Thunderstorms have occurred and been observed in Antarctica, particularly on the Antarctic Peninsula so if there are thunderstorms there is always the possibility of a tornado. I would expect that a waterspout is more likely to be seen but we'll just have to wait and see. It would be a very rare event so with so few people in Antarctica, they might never be seen.
